Greetings! I always make mistakes. Lots and lots. I led the Romans to the crossing place at Ynis Mon by accident. I didn`t mean to. I was running away. They had a huge army, and I was scared They killed nearly all the Druids there. It was terrible to see. So the Druids made me a Slipshifter. I have to go around the world and up and down in Time, to show how the Celts really lived. Better than being buried alive. That was the only other choice, to make amends.

Already I have told of the Hero Diarmid, in Celts v Romans Book One. To learn reading and writing, they sent me to the Machine Age, 200 years back from now to a school where boys were whipped and it was very cruel. I was lucky to escape whipping. It came close when I tipped a big dish of porridge over a master. The bowl knocked him out but he couldn`t remember it when he woke up. The other boys thought I was all right after that.

The world is very frightening now. Too many machines. Very hard just to live in the woods.
I don`t know where to go next. Any ideas? Any advice for a stranger to your world? And most other worlds. For Conor?
